DRV8462: DRV 8462 application question and availability

Hello,

   I have an application where I need to drive two stepper motors. Both are 24V, 2.6A each. Is the DRV8462 a good solution for this? I assume that I will need one part per stepper motor correct?

Also, when is the DRV8462DDV available? Previously it was reported early July but I don't see any mention of this part on the TI website for purchase or sample. I also do not see it in distribution.
