MCT8316ZTEVM: HPC pulls digital hall signal to GND

I'm evaluating the MCT8316ZT using the EVM, however I'm unable to properly control a motor. It seems that when using the HPx connectors for digital hall signals, the HPC line is always 0V regardless of motor position and which hall phase of the motor is connected to it. HPA and HPB work fine. I don't measure any voltage across J10 (corresponding to HPC), while J8 and J8 measure approximately 3.3V.
