DRV8432: Low-Side switch duty cycle; Galvanic isolation of the voltage sources

Part Number:DRV8432

Dear TI Team,

I'm using the DRV8432 to drive a motor in a H-Bridge and have two questions about it:

Is it possible to have both low-side (GND-side) switches permanently switched ON, so that the Motor is short-circuited via the GND-plane on my PCB?

Do the voltage sources VDD and PVDD have to be galvanically isolated, or is it possible to feed the DRV8432 and the motor from a common 11.1V battery? I think about using a FLYBACK of BUCK-BOOST for 12V VDD support after the 11.1V battery and a direct connection of the battery to PVDD.

Thanks in advance

Franz Braun
