Hi,
in our design, we have DRV8837 connected to USB port (capable of supplying 500 mA or 900 mA) together with large bulk capacitance of 220 uF. In order to be USB compliant, we have to reduce inrush current. Can you please recommend a part that can do that? Some load switch?
I would prefer a solution that can withstand more than 5.5 V (12 V would be great) as there is DC motor involved which can regeneratively brake thus increasing power supply voltage to more than 5 V.
