DRV8302: Safety requirements for short circuit.

Hello,

I am using DRV8302 driver IC to drive my BLDC motor.My current design specification is 48V DC 20A output.

I looked at drv 8302 Kit Reference Guide.In that nothing is provided for high surge voltage,Short circuit protection.

Do I need TVS or MOV in the circuit?As DRV8302 is having 60V max PVDD voltage & I am driving 48V DC motor,there are chances of going voltage above 60 due to back voltage or surges.

My input is from 48V Battery.

Also for short circuit protection in main power line (DC Bus) FUSE is necessary?Also in each motor phase of BLDC do I use FUSE?

If yes can you please provide me the type of fuses I can use for both?
