Part Number:DRV8880EVM
Hi, I'm trying to find a stepper motor controller for my stepper motor. I need help with choosing the correct stepper motor controller that can function correctly and not damage the motor.
I guess DRV8880 is the one of the closet one. But the output voltage is too high for my stepper motor. (DRV8880 output seems to be 6.5V minimum, but out motor requires 5 v only.) There should be some much better options. Really appreciate for any help!
(I don't have motor related background so I'm struggling with it for several days. )
The stepper motor have the following specification (from the motor provider):
Amps/Phase: 0.62
Ohms/Phase: 12
Inductance(mH): 26
Holding Torque: 80 N.cm
The input voltage is 5 VDC.
The Bipolar wiring is as below:
We only need the simplest functions, for example: rotate for 120 degree clock-wisely, stop for 10 seconds, then counterclockwise rotate for 120 degree, stop for 10 seconds. Repeat the above movement for 100 times.
