Part Number:DRV8704
Hi there,
I am currently working on a project where i have a brushed DC-motor which needs to be controlled via a Microcontroller, driver and a H-bridge.
The microcontroller and H-bridge are already implemented, but the driver is where i get stuck.
The needed information:
H-bridge:
- Vcc (Supply on the H-bridge and motor): 48Vdc
- Motor current (5A continous)
- Mosfet Gate-source voltage: +-20Vdc
- Mosfet Vgs(th) 4.0V
*Note that all Mosfet's are N-channel.
I have chosen a motor driver DRV8704DCPR (as the component says).
My question is whether this driver can drive my mosfets without blowing them up. I have read the datasheet and I am not so sure about the output voltage. The voltage sense can 'measure' the voltage on the source of the High-side mosfet and adjust the signal on the high-side mosfet, but what would be the output signal which the Charge pump will generate ? is this a voltage of : Vcc + Vgs(th) = 48 + 4 = 52V ? or will this be controlled beneath 20Vdc ?
I hope that my question is clear and provided all the needed information, if not please let me know.
