DRV8350: DRV8350 Dual Supply Configuration: What Voltage Should Be Applied to VCP?

Tool/software:

I'm using the DRV8350 and planning to implement a dual-supply architecture. In this setup, should VCP be connected to the VDRAIN voltage or the VM voltage?

For example, if I use a 48V to 12V regulator to generate an auxiliary supply, should I connect 12V or 48V to the VCP pin?

For reference, we are consulting the following documents:

We've tried both connection methods: supplying 12V and supplying 48V to the VCP pin.

When we connect 12V, we observe ringing on the 12V line during high-current operation.

On the other hand, when we connect 48V, the DRV8350 seems to generate more heat.

We would appreciate clarification and guidance on the proper voltage to apply to the VCP pin in a dual-supply configuration.
