MCF8315A: Multiple controllers on the same I2C line

I am trying to figure out is there any way to control multiple MCF8315A controllers over a single I2C line. The problem comes down to how can I assign individual unique 'target' address to each one initially. Is there a way to do that?

And an additional question also related to MCF8315A: Assuming full control (speed / direction / brake ...) is possible over the I2C line, what should be done with the unusd hardware inputs such as DRVOFF, SPEED/WAKE, DIR, BRAKE, EXT_CLK, and EXT_WD? Should they be left floating, grounded, or biased to either ground or high logic? I want to make sure I have maximum control over the device, but my available I/O on the MCU side are limited so I am trying to bring their usage to the functional minimum.
