DRV8718-Q1: solenoid control

Hi Expert, 

There have an example for solenoid control in DRV8718-Q1 datasheet, see below. 

Normally, customer only use 1 low side to drive the solenoid. In our example, there have an additional high side disconnect switch. May I know the advantage of high side disconnect switch to drive the solenoid compare to 1 low side solution?
