MCF8316A: Questions about dead time compensation of MCF8316A

Below is my problem:

1.Whether the integrated resonant controller is implemented in software or hardware？

2.If implemented in software, would there be better performance with a quasi-resonant controller? Because the bandwidth of the quasi-resonant controller is higher, the effect of filtering the sixth harmonic at different speeds is better.
