DRV8424: Is it a problem to directly connect VM(24V) and nSLEEP?

Hi, 

Is it a problem to directly connect VM(24V) and nSLEEP?

When using the DRV8424 standalone, it must be operated with nSLEEP set to Hi. Is there a recommended connection method?

When I pulled up the nSLEEP pin from +24V via 10KΩ, it did not work properly, but when I changed it from +24V to 5V with a resistance voltage divider, the setting pins etc. worked normally.
