DRV8316C: Current limit

Hi team,

Could you please let me confirm the current limit function?

In datasheet VILIM is limited from AVDD/2 ~ AVDD/2-0.4V, what will happen if I set it beyond AVDD/2-0.4V?

Do I need set Gain to 0.15V/A and VILIM to AVDD/2-0.4V to set 8A max?

Also, How should I handle SOX pins if I do not need to use them? Can I leave them open?
