DRV8312: Ask about DRV8312's deadtime difinition

Part Number: DRV8312

Hi

I want to ask about DRV8312's deadtime definition.

Basically,  I think that dead time is defined as the time during which the high-side FET and low-side FET of the microcomputer signal are turned off together.

This IC don't need  to input high and low side FET signals, so I think it is automatically control deadtime in this IC

According to the datasheet, it is mentioned that the deadtime is 5.5ns, but it is mentioned that turn on and off time is 14ns.

So I think it is difficult to control deadtime 5.5ns,  due to the turn on and turn off time.

How much is the dead time of this IC when expressed in terms of deadtime defined by control signals from a general MCU?

Is it 5.5ns + 14ns?

Best regards

Naoki
