DRV8873: PWM control in the Phase and Enable Mode

Hello,

Is PWM control impossible if the control mode is not PWM mode?
My customer would like to know whether PWM control is possible even if the control mode is the Phase and Enable mode.
If PWM signal is input to the EN/IN1 pin and the direction of rotation signal is input to the PH/IN2 pin, my customer thinks that the PWM control can be achieved. Is their understanding correct?
