DRV8718-Q1: DRV8718-Q1

Hi, team!

My customer tested  drv8718 overcurrent protection function. They set VDS_LVL as 1101, (1V equal to 40A flow through MOS_D and MOS_S) and VDS_DG as the default value to protect the circuit.

But when they short the load ,the current is only about 27A. Is there any other protection which could influenced the current or configuration need to be noticed?

As the figure shown, the yellow is the current and the blue is Vsource. 

Can you explain this phenomenon? Thanks!
