DRV8323: Is this chip suitable for 30-50A current?

Hi Team:

Currently, two chips have been burned, it seems to be short circuit inside the chip. At the first time, there is a short circuit between W and GND. The second time there is a short circuit between W and GNC. There is no problem of the board. Short circuit occurs when the chip exists. And the chip is pulled low as soon as it is powered on. Is this the problem due to the current too high? The voltage is 18V.
