DRV8803: DRV8803 does not drive the stepper motor to work normally

Hi TI Teams,

We have some problem with the application of DRV8803. We connect the VM pin to 9V for the power supply, but we want to drive a 5V stepper motor. The following is the schematic:

However, it does not drive the motor to work normally.

The waveform of IN is as below:

The OUT waveform is show as below:

From the datasheet we can learned that the VCLAMP need to be connected to VM. Due to the stepper motor power supply voltage is only 5V, we just connect it to a 5V power. Does this cause the motor work abnormally? If not, can u give us some good suggestion for this problem?
