Need to have Automatic phase learning as feature for my new BLDC motor controller with hall sensor feedback.
With this, my controller should be able to connect to Motor with any Phase sequence wiring and any hall sensor sequence wiring. This automatic phase learning will ne used when a new type of Motor is used by customer.
Learnt sequence will be stored in EEPROM and used later for every motor.
Application is EV motor Controller.
Motor used is a 4 pole motor.
Tried to pump dc current through each phase sequence one by one and rotate shaft by one step = 15 deg [360 deg / (4 poles * 6 positions)] mechanically. Issue is not able to get motor movement so accurately and not getting repeatable hall position values in every rotation at same mechanical location.
Can someone suggest me how to do this automatic phase connection learning and hall sensor connection learning?
