DRV8825: Stepper motor stalls with long wire

Hi,

I am working on a prototype to run multiple stepper motors and to quickly prototype I am using DRV8825 module. I am having trouble driving stepper motors with more than 2ft of wire from DRV8825. I am running the motor in full step mode to get faster speed. Is there a limitation on the length of wire for driving stepper motors with DRV8825? Any tips on how to run stepper motors with longer cables?
