DRV8703D-Q1: Error in the DRV8703-Q1 documentation: SPI config?

The DRV8703-Q1 datasheet clearly specifies the SPI mode configuration (mode 1).

After hours of debugging our board, we decided to probe the DRV8703-Q1EVM dev board to see what it was doing.
(see the following DRV8703-Q1EVM block diagram)

To our surprise, we realized that it communicated with the MSP430 using the SPI configured to CPOL=0 CPHAL=1.
Is it possible that there's an error in the datasheet?
