DRV8426E: Method of short circuit protection

Hi support team.

I received a question from my customer.Is it correct to understand that if the outputs are shorted while driving the motor, it cannot be protected within the OCP degrich time (1.8us)?

Or is there a function that can limit the current that is not mentioned in the data sheet?

If not, do you have any advice on how to deal with the large current caused by shorted circuit?
