Part Number: DRV8323R
Dear all,
I am currently working on my system with a DRV8323RH driver and a BLDC motor. The initial prototype is using 1xPWM mode successfully and I am planning on going towards 3xPWM mode. Please note, that I am using custom PCB and software.
The idea now is to implement :
- 6 step commutation using 3xPWM mode -> Validate by comparison with 6 step commutation with 1xPWM mode
- FOC control using 3xPWM mode -> Validate by showing efficiency improvement over 1xPWM mode
The logic table used internally by the 1xPWM mode is the following and I assume this is what I should replicate for 6 step commutation with 3xPWM mode.
And here are my questions :
- Is the assumption above correct ?
- How to set (GHx = GLx = LOW) as it is shown on the truth table above ? I think I should just put INLx = LOW meaning this pin should not be tied to HIGH in the design. Can you confirm ?
- Is the synchronous rectification performed automatically by the DRV in 3xPWM mode ?
Thank you all for your answers !
