DRV8711 and TMS320F28377S Launchpad- Current Sense Query

Hi,

I'm a beginner. I would like to know how current sense can be achieved using DRV8711.

It has an internal circuitry that does current sense.

Will I be able to read the current sense data through SPI interface or should I use a dedicated circuitry for this purpose?

If a separate current sense circuit is required, then which terminals will I be using to connect the current sense circuit.
