Part Number: DRV8308
During the qualification phase of our system, we experience issues concerning the voltage level reached on U, V & W inputs on the BLDC driver. The absolute maximum voltage rating associated to those pins is 40V and we are measuring voltage level going up to 45V caused by the BEMF of the motor. Our system is powered from batteries which can vary from 24-36V which directly sypply the high-side half-bridge of each motor windings.
Is there a way to protect these input pins from overvoltage conditions to stay into the safe operation area without compromising the switching performance of the charge pump circuitry of the pre-drivers.
