I have built the circuit as according to the application circuit in the datasheet but using the linear regulator configuration (with a 44 ohm resistor) as I am not using the regulator. I made sure to connect the exposed pad to PGND. The device is powered from a power supply and I have cycled through the Vcc range. I have tried a fan motor and a 8000 kV BLDC motor. There is nothing happening; the device does not even show up on an I2C scanner.
Do I need to configure the driver's registers first through I2C? I assumed there would be some kind of response at first but perhaps I am wrong.
