Dear Community,
we try to run a BLDC up to 160 Ampere and think that sinusodial commutation would be the best. for this we would use DRV8308. But we can‘t use a sense resistor because we dont have enough space. We will use a hall current sensor and would control overcurrent in MCU. Can we go with Isense from DRV to GND or need the DRV ISENSE for advanced commutation? we will use the automatic advanced commutation from DRV for higher loads. Speed setting should be with PWM from MCU.
