Part Number: DRV8702-Q1
To cut costs in our controller design, I am thinking of re-using the digital voltage regulator in the DRV8702.
Our initial design will include an assembly option to include either the internal regulator for our external logic, or to use the regulator in the DRV8702.
The maximum power usage at the logic voltage will be approx 39mA (however this is worst case, with a MCU which will use less than estimated). The DRV8702-Q1 can output 30mA (under the assumption that the max dissipated power of the package also allows this), and we have 2 DRV8702-Q1`s in our design.
Can I safely connect the LDO ouputs together to get a higher max output current (does the internal design allow this?)?
Externally balancing the current using resistors will give too much voltage drop to allow for the wide range of DVDD (2.9 .. 3.5V).
