DRV8711: how to use the direct PWM input mode to control the stepping motor

Hi  ALL:

    now I don't know how to use the direct PWM mode to control the stepping motor

  as we know, the drv8711 control pin is : SLEEPn  STEP/AIN1  DIR/AIN2  BIN1 BIN2  RESET ; if I want  to use the direct PWM mode to control motor, so  I  should use a MCU  PWM pins   to  connect  the  AIN1  AIN2  BIN1 BIN2 pins of drv8711.  

  there is a introduction about how to use  direct pwm input mode  to drive the  stepping motor  in  the  user guide of  drv8711

however  I think the  xIN1  xIN2  is only to control the motor running direction

if there is any sample code to use the direct PWM  input  mode to control the motor
