Hello TI,
From DRV8871 data sheet '7.3.5 Protection Circuits', its clear that DRV8871 has got Undervoltage, Overcurrent and Thermal Shutdown protection.
Has DRV8871 also got inbuilt Surge & Input Transient Voltage Protection? Or is it recommended to connect an external TVS diode on Vm Power Supply Pin?
(We understand DRV8871 has internal body diodes on Motor Driving OUT1 & OUT2 pins, eliminating the need for external flyback diodes. We would like to know if similar inbuilt Transient Voltage Protection is also available on Vm Power Supply pin)
