Part Number:DRV8702-Q1
Hi,
I'm using the DRV8702 to drive an H-bridge in independent PWM mode at 50 kHz to form an inverter from a DCbus of 30 V. The driving scheme is bipolar and the signals are generated externally by an FPGA. The transistors I use are the IPG20N10S4L-22.
When I set the output voltage to a sinusoidal of 100 Hz, 15 Vpeak, everything works fine. However, when I increase the voltage to 22 Vpeak, one of the top transistors burns (gate and source become shorted). I have tried to discard everything I could think of and one of the hypothesis I have is self-turn on of the transistor.
1) Does this driver have active Vgs monitoring so as to avoid self turn-on?
2) Do you think of anythinf else that could be damaging the circuit?
Here is the circuit in question:
Thank you
