Hi,
I am using the DRV8301-69m-kit. We want to test drives with DC link voltages as small as 2 V. For this reason, we modified the board by supplying the PVDD1-3 by an external voltage source of 16 V.
We tested the modification by outputting an duty cycle and measure the voltage level of the corresponding terminal. If the DC link voltage is above 16 V, the duty cycle is adjusted properly. However, if the DC link voltage is reduced below 16 V, the potential of the terminal is 0 V within a certain fraction of the cycle time and is floating around the DC link voltage within the other fraction of the cycle time. The fractions of the cycle time are not equal to the requested duty cycle anymore.
Does the DC link voltage have to be higher than the PVDD supply voltage of the DRV8301?
Kind regards,
Oliver H.
