Hello Motor Drive Team,
If the DRV8702D-Q1 is used in freewheel mode where a Pwm signal is only sent to the highside fet and the lowside fet's body diode is used for all recirculation (never in the active state) will a deadtime be applied between pulses of the highside fet?
It's my understanding that the deadtime timer starts when Vgs of the highside fet is less than 2V, does this mean that we need to wait the 240ns of deadtime between when Vgs drops below 2V and when we can turn the highside FET back on.
