Part Number:BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM
Hi,
I will need to design a controller of high voltage BLDC. I have purchase the BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM and LAUNCHXL-F28027F evaluation board to make use of the FOC to control my motors. I am used to the FOC but now I will need a 200VDC controller to control higher power motors. I am planning to use 80V battery to power my motor but just to provide future potential of driving higher power motor, I am going for a 200VDC controller. I have looked through the TI's brushless DC motor drivers but none are capable of up to 200VDC.
note that :
1) I am planning on using the LAUNCHXL-F28027F design.
2) I am a beginner at design BLDC controller.
3) I am designing 200VDC rated BLDC controller.
My questions are:
1) From the reference design BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM, if I replace DRV8305 three phase driver with 3 half bridge UCC27714 and design my own current sense, will the FOC still work? The FOC is really easy to use, but I am not sure if it will work for any kind MOSFET drivers.
2) The FOC provide feedback speed information. Is the information calculated from the voltage sense and current sense?
