We are going to use DRV8842 h-bridge in our design. The issue is that it is rated for 85 degrees operational max ambient temperature. But I see in the datasheet that it is also rated for 150 degrees junction temperature and in some plots is tested to 125 degrees C.
I am hoping that 85 degrees ambient is to make sure the chip can operate to the absolute maximum values specified in the datasheet. In our application we will not exceed 0.8A running through the device.
Will you please tell me if we can reliably use the device for a maximum of 105 degrees C for 0.8A continuous? Otherwise what is the maximum ambient temperature we can run at with 0.8A continuous current?
