DRV8870: upgrading to higher power device

Hi,

I originally did a design to control a 1A brushed dc motor with PWM using the DRV8870 chip.  I was happy with this design, but at the last minute the specification has changed to a 4A brushed dc motor.  Now the DRV8870 is not rated to run a 4A motor, so I need to upgrade.  Would you say the DRV8842 is the best upgrade option to run the 4A motor?
