hi
i am designing bldc motor driver (6 steps commutation) . i looked at the drv8312 data sheet.
in Different Operational Modes section its says : "We recommend using a complementary control scheme"
and later they mention "If you prefer PWM switching one
channel but hold low side FET of the other channel on (and third channel in Hi-Z) for 2-quadrant mode".
as i understand 2 quadrant mode - for example: phase C is in HI-z so both high and low FETs are both closed , in phase A the lower FET is continuously HIGH and the high FET is continuously LOW and in phase B the low side FET is continuously closed while the HIGH side FET is in PWM.
i dont understand how i can work in this mode with the drv8312 as every half bridge is always in complementary mode.
can some please show me where i am wrong.
best regards
mark
