Hello,
I am using DRV8412 to drive a 12v/ 3A peltier. I have used the schematic provided by ti.
Both PVDD and GVDD are connected to same power supply 12v/25A.
PVDD- 12V
GVDD-12V
OC_ADJ Resistor = 47Kohm
M1=0, M2=1, M3=0 (Mode 3 PFB mode)
PWMA and PWMB freq=500KHz and 50% duty cycle
After power on following observation has been made:
1. without load connected:
VREG = 3.2V
OTW signal = 3.2V high
Fault signal = 0.2V low
output voltage diff = 0v
2. without load connected:
- Fault signal = high 3.2v
-OTW signal = high 3,2V
- OUT put voltage difference = 11v
From the datasheet it is clear that it is overcurrent shutdown. Why this is activated since i have used 25A SMPS this fault should not arise.
And why when connecting load output voltage is going down to 0v.
