I use the DRV10987 on the lens, the specification of the BLDC motor is: the max speed is 10200rpm, the max start current is 1.1A, the normal current is below 300mA.
When using the DRV10987 EVM drives the motor, found that the motor current was large, about 1.4 A, speed was about 4000rpm, and the motor was very hot. After about twenty seconds, the current automatic drop to about 0.7 A, speed was about 1000rpm, the motor was still very hot. Then the motor stopped, and the GUI page shows 'motor stuck'.
Compare: use the DRV11873 EVM drive the motor, found that the motor can turn up quickly, current was 200 mA, speed was about 8000rpm, and the motor was not hot.
So, Why the DRV10987 can't reach the high speed ? and the thermal was so hot ? which parameter of GUI was set wrong ?
The experience feeling of the DRV10987 GUI is very poor: debugging every time, I must close GUI, and turn off the power supply, unplug the USB line, and then connect the USB cable, restart the power supply, open the GUI, for debugging the next time.
At the same time, I want to add a MCU for the high speed 9000rpm, programming, to control DRV10987 with I2C, can you provide the minimum demo program, instruction corresponding registers, address and other software information??
