Part Number:DRV8886
Good evening
We are testing the DRV8886 stepper driver in microstep configuration, using the basic circuit proposed in the datasheet.
The driver is powered by 12Volts, the stepper motor is a bipolar with a resistance of about 3 ohms per winding and the driver's PWM control is set for a maximum current on the motor of about 800mA.
Everything works regularly except for noise; in practice, the 'blowing' motor both during rotation and when it is stationary (clearly with the engine stopped the noise is more evident)
I know it's not easy to reduce this noise, but the DRV8886 drive does not seem to have many control options ...
Can anyone suggest some solution? Others have had experience with this driver in microstepping? Better to evaluate other TI drivers with more control options?
Every suggestion is welcome
