Part Number:DRV8308
We have noticed that there are 2 differences with the DRV8308 revision B.
First difference is the removal of the “Rotor lock detection”. We would like to know why this option was removed from the DRV8308? Secondly we want to know if there way to reactivated this option? The problem is that we use this option in our product and it looks like we need to implement a software solution in a controlling MSP430.
Second difference is that the new DRV are in a enabled state when there is no software programmed on the SPI bus. We don’t use the OTP option in the DRV8308 and we notice the increased rest current and the activated FG lines when the DRV is not programmed by the MSP. This is not a big problem but it’s an anomaly that causes problems in our production process.
