BOOSTXL-DRV8301: Using DRV8301 and LAUNCHXL-F28069M implement self-made solidThinking EMBED code

Hello,

We are using  BOOSTXL-DRV8301 and LAUNCHXL-F28069M and want to implement a self-made solidThinking EMBED code. The code was verified and test on our custom made inverter and is working fine.

But when we replaced the inverter with DRV8301 the Mosfets are not turning ON. From SLVU974  (BOOSTXL-DRV8301 Hardware User's Guide)" Figure 4. Booster Pack Pin-out & 5.4- Booster Pack GPIO Signals" we get to know that EN-GATE pin must be enabled to enable gate driver and current shunt amplifiers.

So my query is that :

1. Do we have to provide HIGH to EN-GATE (i.e. Pin no. 13 on lauchpad) or LOW to enable it?

2. Does only enabling EN-GATE pin will resolve the issue or we have to enable something else?

3.Is it mandatory to use SPI while using DRV8301.

Note : We are using Scalar control to run the motor and not FOC.
