DRV8872-Q1: serial resistor to protect inputs

Dear team,

is there e serial resistor needed to protect the IN_1 and IN_2 of DVR8872-Q1? Is there an ESD Structure in front of the pull down that needs to be protected or can we jus rely on the internal pull down resistors itself? Ideally we would not spend the external components. In case a resistor is needed what value do you recommend?
