My customer using DRV8881E as stepper motor driver. Their system configuration is as follow:
Enable pin pull high. Vref=2.6V set to highest current regulation value. Add PWM signal in Enable pin (SPWM signal) 20Khz
The motor is spin normally and the motor current is fine. But the thermal dissipation of motor driver IC is very high. The package top temperature is about 120 degree with 45 ambient temperature...... is this issue related to our control method???
