Voltage Supply

Hello, I'm using DRV8837 to control solenoid in which I need 12 V to power it. But this driver has a maximum voltage of 11V. However I applied 12V at VM pin and it is still working. So I want to know that it is fine to give 12 to control it or I need to down the voltage at in this driver range.
