Tool/software:
Dear Texas Instruments Support Team,
I am currently working on a design that uses the DRV2700 in flyback mode to drive a piezoelectric actuator. I have reviewed the datasheet and application notes, and I would appreciate clarification on a few technical points:
-What is the maximum voltage that the SW pin can tolerate in flyback mode? The datasheet specifies 120 V, but in the flyback mode schematic, the SW pin appears to be connected to VDD (3.3 V to 5 V). Could you please clarify this apparent discrepancy?
-In the datasheet schematic, VDD and SW appear to be connected, but in my application, I'm considering powering them from separate sources: a 3.3 V regulator for VDD and a 12 V or 24 V battery for SW (to the transformer primary).
Is this separation acceptable, and are there any specific layout or grounding considerations we should follow?
-What are the maximum recommended current levels for VDD and SW (flyback mode)?
Any design recommendations or documentation that could help ensure safe and efficient operation in this configuration would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
