DRV3233-Q1: Trouble with SPI interface

Hi,

I'm having trouble communicating with this chip via the SPI interface - when trying to access the internal registers, the address is not read back properly and I am also unable to read/write to the registers. In addition to that, the datasheet is unclear on what the clock phase/polarity mode should be, and both phase modes I have tried have not produced meaningful results.
