DRV8329: Driving BLDC and Brushed Motor with DRV8329

I have rather an unusual question for DRV 8329, we have one product where DRV8329 is used and it drives BLDC motor as expected, but We wanted to explore if we can use the same hardware on a different project where we need to run brushed DC motor ? Is it possible by doing some modifications on external circuit around DRV8329 ?

I did check that, I am not sure about the nFAULT assertation. As brushed motor only one phase is required, other 2 will not be operating, but if we keep lower FET on for other phases (which are not active, can we mitigate bootstrap voltage error which results in nFAULT triggering ?
