DRV8323: DRV8323S Gate Driver Fault

Dear TI Support Team,

We are currently using the DRV8323S for motor control and have encountered the following issue:
The gate driver reports faults such as “VGS_HC / FAULT / GDF / UVLO”. In the worst case, the gate driver gets damaged.

Related information is as follows. Please help identify possible causes and provide solutions. Thank you.

• Gate driver IC: DRV8323S

• MOSFET model: IRFB7734

• Measured maximum VGS: 17.8V (normal is 10V)

• Driver supply voltage: 38V

The high-side gate driver VGS waveform is shown in the figure below:

• CH1: PWM input

• CH3, CH4: Gate driver VGS

• CH2: gate driver fault trigger (the waveform below shows a UVLO fault)
