Tool/software:
Hi all,
I'm developing a motor control circuit using DRV8308 now.
There is a description as follows in section 7.3.7 in the datasheet.
******************************
If BRKMOD= 0, the outputs are 3-stated, resulting in the motor coasting if BRKMOD = 1, all low-side FETs are turned on, causing the motor to brake.
******************************
In the following conditions, if ENABLE is set to inactive, the output to the motor will be 3-stated and will result in coasting.
***************
BRAKE PIN=Low
BRKPOL=0
BRKMOD=0
***************
Is it correct that the coasting state at this time is like when the motor is rotating and the power is turned off, causing the motor to rotate by inertia and then stop?
In my circuit, the motor stops as if the brakes are applied when I set ENABLE to inactive.
Is this the correct behavior?
Best Regards,
